Cars on fire in the parking lot. ablaze, engulfed in smoke on this new year of the Dog. Supposedly people born in the Year of the Dog possess the best traits of human nature. So our scholarly intellects of ancient the Chinese traditions have dedicated this year to "the best traits of human nature". And rightfully dubbed it as the year of the DOG. How appropriate.

As I ponder this thought, Alpha male behind me in traffic poured over himself in the rearview mirror of his shiny white beamer combing his plastic hair and tucking away anything outside of the bounds of his Mr. potato head moustache... right before pronouncing his rank as #1 with his middle finger raised in the sky. translation: You're driving too slow.

All the while we watched, hoping it would explode, car parts melting into the cement. Humanity sniffing at the crotch of my patience. On a brighter note, a few tracks on our old debut album found a place in the surf world out in Southern Cali. Fuel TV/Surfline.com: Check out this trailer. www.Surfline.com. Sound familiar?

We hope you're getting your new year off to a grand start and invite you all to come join us this Friday January 27th, 2006 as Nomad Artists, Bulldog 103.7, and UGA Dance Marathon present....

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYBODY!

12.11.2005

December in my pocket. Flailing around with the lint like snow fall in Richmond, she sent me pictures so I know now.

I can't believe the end of 05 is drawing near... amazing the changes, the drama surrounding us, scattering us like fireflies in tornadoes. and in the end we come together in safe havens from the cold, congregating with vibrant libations, toasting to the end and to another begining.

I didn't sleep well last night, tossing and turning thinking of where the year went and where we are headed in the big 06. The new year will mark a century of music making in ATL... and I can't say how pleased we are to still be doing what we love to do and that you are still out there listening. Out there waiting for the next big tremor. I thank you all for yet another wonderful year in TA land. An ever evolving place that escapes me time and time again only to devour us in flames when the moons align and I can hear your voices singing back in joyous gratitude.

We will be ending a year in TA at Smiths Olde Bar here in Atlanta, GA on the 16th of December with our good friends and comrades, The Modern Skirts. If you haven't heard them yet, you must. Rising kings, they are.

Thank you all again for all your support. Wishing you all a season of gold and silver from yours truly here at the TA camp.

We'll see you all very soon.

Hello all,

Hope you are all finding yourselves in warm places protected in thick cloaks from slow drivers, sales calls, and the bird flu. I for one have decided against all un-natural options for healing in this season... Inject yourself with it to protect yourself... unnerving, really.

Right. So I wanted to let everyone know that our recordings are finally on iTunes.... both Buona Fortuna and Last years release Save the World are available for you trigger happy iTunes downloaders. 99 cents 99 cents 99 cents...

Also, if you're in the Atlanta area this weekend, please come see our close friends The Whigs as they release thier first full length album Give em all the big fat lip at Smiths Olde Bar this friday night. We'll be opening along with a special appearance from Taylor Hollingsworth.

Hope to see you all soon,

Ledo

SHOW CANCELLATION...

We would like to apologize for last night's cancellation. Everything was done to attempt performance that night and the members of TA were looking forward to being a part of a night to rebuild. Alas, Lead singer, Eric Toledo has been living with mono for the past few weeks and battling an uncontrollable cough making performance nearly impossible. For those of you who showed up, we thank you all for supporting such a good cause. We'd like to thank the organizers and all the bands involved in a night to rebuild for bringing the community together to do great things for those in need. Once again, we apologize for the cancellation. We wish you all well and hope to see you again soon.

Buona Fortuna,

TA

Its been far too long since I've written in these pages... Sorry for the long absence... not that anyone actually reads my nonsensical waxing... sounds like I'm only hearing out one ear at times. Mono.

Ah, so we shall rebuild.... in this lovely season where I can't see straight, silverwear rusting in sinks, my body neglected. I've moved from sweltering fevers to uncontrollable coughs... all in the name of progress. More aware, more humble. Today we embark on another movement, glaciers and continents slowly ripping apart... soul mates coming together.

We took a few days to recover, apologies for cancellations... never like doing that. In the mean time, we've been busy building foundations, staying up too late playing with keyboards, sillyputty, and strings. Put together a video for your viewing pleasure... for our impromptu piano track off of our latest release Buona Fortuna. Please check it out when you find a moment. Preparing to go back in the studio to track some new goodies for you in the new year. Oh and we're slowly climbing the ranks at garageband.com, we'll be the featured artist of the day on the 4th of November.... whatever that's worth.

Hoping you are all healthy and soaking up the sun.

Hurricanes and colossal movements, shifting platelets in my blood stream. Microcosms of activity beneath the surface mounting a surge yet to be seen...

Time is upon us to release a creation out into the wilderness, out into the world to see if it spawns wings and flies. This post marks the second official release for TA since 2001.

For those of you in the Atlanta area, we’re having a little CD release of sorts at the Dark Horse this Saturday around midnight. Would love to see you out. For everyone else, the new site will hopefully launch this weekend as well as our new on-line store. However, all merch can be bought right now by clicking on this link:

Oh the smell of fall. The world taking a deep breath and shedding its skin before its deep slumber.

Once again we find ourselves in the midst of change... the search for constants to fill the voids, chasing loose papers in waning breezes, cars and mass consumption, wet poloroids, swimming with the fishes, loosing my religion and finding hope again... thanks for nothing nashville.

Oh we're still #2 on XM radio's unsigned most played. Thanks so much for your support and keep the requests coming.

I implore you all to join us as we regroup and finally release our latest effort, Buona Fortuna. We'll be at the 10-high, ATL, GA on the 24th of September. And it will be available for you to take home and make your own. Our on-line store is almost done and we will be relaunching the site as soon as these ropes around my wrists loosen.

We love you all. Hope to see you all soon.

I dreamt of ceilings crashing, hanging moons from small threads while lions hid from storms under drenched wallpaper. And all long it was alright, cause you were there and the hum of the motors in mechanical rooms kept us at ease... kept us at bay and we knew the band was about to play.

Good day, everyone. Hope your summer droughts aren't keeping you from coming out into the world. I'm in a strange place today having just returned from Richmond, VA. Think the fresh air got to my head. Non-toxic O2 molecules in my brian causing feelings of unquestioned euphoria. Nevermind. This friday we have the honor of headlining this year's Prasse Fest.... at the Star Bar, Atlanta, GA... the 12th of August. We will be unveiling our new record "Buona Fortuna" on that night with hopes that you might be there to hear it in its full splendor.

For those of you not in storms way, we're working out the details to get this thing in stores so that you might tickle your purchasing fancy. So hold tight, and we'll send word when its available.... until then, please check out "Buona Fortuna" on our myspace account.

Hope to see you all very soon.

Thank you all for making it out to Downtown Rocks and for making the Smiths show a memorable one. We danced in the rain and let the eye of the storm carry our sound to tops of tall buildings. We never got a glimpse of Cake for we had to run off to the other end of town for a late night show... I need your arms around me I need to feel your touch. I need your understanding I need your love so much. I hope it was as delicious as I remember it.

Check out the photo's at atlantamusicguide.com and 99X.com

So we're traveling to Athens this weekend to work out the kinks, mixing and mastering our latest release Buona Fortuna... a few new songs and tales from traveling the southeast and life and loss in the fine city of Atlanta... we're doing it all old school straight to 2inch. Live. Special for you. Hope you are all enjoying yourselves. Take Care. Hope to see you all very soon.

Buona Fortuna,

Ledo

Wow. Music Midtown... merely a faint flicker in the distance, a figment of my imagination. Rushing past us like life. We ordered up some sunshine so that you might be able to enjoy the rest of the festival in dry underwear. You can thank the big man upstairs for that one. Want to thank Johnny B-good for making everything sound pretty, Mr. Frank for documenting the madness, all of you who made it out to see us, and all who happen to stumble upon us for listening...

So we've got a great line up of shows this summer in the southeast and hope you'll get a chance to catch one... or 10. We're heading home... good ol' Athens, GA at the top of July to soak up the nostalgia and begin recording an official TA release... Breathe in. Breathe out. Guitar. Bass. Now drums. You in the back, no you, turn up the volume. Thank you all for being so perfect.

Hope to see you all very very soon.

Ledo.

Would like to thank the kind people of Charlotte, N.C. for their hospitality, good sushi, undercover Greek restaurants, and quaint town squares and we're back to the future...

Jay had just taken his riddlin for the night and things were settling down. So we tried something a little different that night, put away the guns and cannons and let our hands hang in the breeze. Everything was stripped down, broken. Saygoodbye captures peaceful moments in the storm. Thank you. Say Goodbye.

Visualite Theater: Charlotte, NC

Tonight we chase off robbers and thieves that plague the camp, find a new home, and start a new chapter. Can't believe its summer already.

We'll be closing the local stage at Music Midtown this year on June 12th, so please come by and visit us as we play a warm welcome to DEVO.

Hope to see you all very soon.

In the midst of great change... times when the temperature outside is as volatile and delicate as the threads that bind us all together... when nyc is just too cold and atl is just too humid, and we can't keep it all together... transmission failure and everyone's moving out. moving on... and golden empires seem to crumble to the ground... going bankrupt... all of this converging into one space and time, almost overwhelming and somehow we manage to emerge and plunge ahead, so that we might learn that all our futile attempts aren't so futile afterall. So here we stand staring into the face of another promising day... and hope that you're all still listening.

We're pleased to announce that we'll be playing the 99X locals only stage at music midtown this year. check out the line up here at music midtown.com.

Hope you are all living well.

Wheels in motion... and everything a blur. Thank you all so much for the support and signs everwhere that you've made us a part of your day.

Revamping catalogues, moving mountains, we headed back to Athens to finish tracking some new ideas that I hope you'll get to hear very soon... Bringing back the rock, special for you.

Until then, never stop listening.
